Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC)

Purpose

Assist the Mayor and DHS in the development of a District-wide, comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary, interagency system to provide early intervention services for infants and toddlers with development delays and disabilities and their families. Advise and assist in identifying the needs for early intervention services coordinating private and public resources to those needs, resolving interagency disputes and preparing applications to US Education Dept.; advise and assist DHS and the state education agency in providing appropriate services for children from birth to age five.
